Registering a company in Singapore: quick answers
How much does it cost to register a company in Singapore?
ACRA charges S$315 to register a private limited company: S$15 for the name application and S$300 for registration. With AAA, incorporation costs S$468 all-in, or S$638 including a named company secretary for 12 months. Both include the ACRA fees, and no GST is charged.
Other costs to plan for: a registered office address in Singapore, a minimum paid-up capital of S$1, and from the second year, the annual return (S$60 ACRA fee) and your company secretary. See our full pricing.
Do I need a local director to register a Singapore company?
Yes. Every Singapore company must have at least one director who is ordinarily resident in Singapore, meaning a Singapore citizen, permanent resident, or an eligible pass holder (such as an EntrePass or Employment Pass holder) who lives here. Foreigners can still own 100% of the shares.
Foreign founders usually appoint a resident director, relocate on an eligible pass, or arrange a nominee director. Our nominee director service is quoted on request and subject to due diligence. Directors must be at least 18 years old.
